I’m a sucker for acronyms! When AYUP occurred to me as an abbreviation for “As Yet Unpublished,”
I especially liked it because the term is the quintessential Vermont reply. You stop by the old farmhouse and ask the person on the tractor, “Will this road take me to the fair?”
The tractor-person says, “Ayup.”
The AYUP collection is like finding a great rummage sale full of perfectly good, high-quality stuff you can’t find in stores.
Feel free to browse and poke and see if any of these plays or scenes hold interest or potential for you.
If you come across something you’d like to use, drop me a line: haehnela@gmail.com.
We’ll work out deal.
One suggestion for AYUP:
If you’re between productions or just needing something theatrical for your students to do,
have them go to this page and look around. The nice thing about the AYUP collection is that you
can read the full work–no publisher restraints or sign-ups needed! Enjoy.
